Natural Indigo Balm
Historical Background
Historical records from a 16th-century Chinese medical encyclopedia, Bencao Gangmu, show people have been using natural indigo (Qing Dai) on skin for over 1,200 years. Back in the Tang Dynasty (around 752 AD) – that’s about the same time Vikings first attacked England – healers wrote about its cooling properties in their medical handbook Waitai Miyao.
Suitable For:
- Supports the healing of blood-heat type eczema, rosacea, herpes, and psoriasis and more

- Offers antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties
- A traditional remedy for sensitive and irritated skin
How to Use

- Suitable for adults & children
- Conduct a patch test prior to first use
- Avoid application on open wounds or severe infections
- Consult a GP if pregnant or using alongside steroid creams

- Our clinic’s balms are made from natural ingredients with no chemical additives, preservatives, or mineral oils.
- If stored in a warm environment, the balm may develop oil spots or become softer – this is a normal occurrence and does not affect its use.
If the balm softens due to direct sunlight, you may place it in the fridge (0°C to 7°C) for around 5–10 minutes to allow it to solidify and return to its original state.

It’s really helped with the itchiness and redness on my skin. These problems usually get worse in the summer, even when I use other skincare products. I feel confident that Indigo Balm will keep things under control.
